We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and motivated band 6 research nurse who delivers high quality, patient centred care to join our haematology/oncology clinical research team, based at Southampton General Hospital. This role will provide regular contact with patients and their families and will involve research that will make a real difference to future patient care.
Previous clinical research and/or oncology experience is desirable but not essential. You will need to be flexible, have an excellent level of written and verbal communication skills and good IT skills. The ability to project manage and problem-solve in order to guide and support the team would also be advantageous.
The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the research process including screening and recruiting patients to drug trials, coordinating patient treatment alongside the in-patient nursing team, data collection and documentation, and education for both professionals and families.
