Opportunity for an experienced 2nd line engineer to join a well established global aviation company. Reporting to the service desk manager, you will join their IT support team based in Farnborough. The second line engineer will fully utilise their IT expertise including their extensive knowledge and understanding of Windows systems, Microsoft products and visualisation solutions to ensure optimal performance of customer’s core IT infrastructures.
Excellent customer service, communication and problem-solving skills are key to successfully fulfilling this role. Tasks for the second line engineer include:
IT project work support
Managing incidents through to resolution.
Liaising with clients, suppliers and software providers
Supporting, mentoring and training of 1st line engineers
Server reviews and health checks
The successful candidate will be encouraged to continue to expand their knowledge of new technological developments and to share innovations with the team.
