Mechanic / Calibration Fitter / Field Service Fitter
Salary depending on experience and training required is £23,000 - £27000pa (£31,000 - £35,000 including minimum 10 hours travelling time a week at time and one half).
Bonus and commission can also be achieved by upselling equipment.
The Mechanic / Calibration Fitter / Field Service Fitter role is mainly attending Kwik Fit and ATS garages, servicing tyre inflator compressors, oxy acetylene equipment. torque wrenches, wheel balancing machines etc.
Occasionally (rarely) on board power take off system (PTO) repairs on vehicles may be necessary, full training in their head office workshops will be given, this may involve attending a commercial utility vehicle to repair a power take off unit or any of the associated equipment.
Days only Monday to Friday 08.00 – 17.30, the vehicle is tracked and this is used to work out your overtime, overtime is paid from when you leave your house in the morning to when you take the key out of your ignition at night – overtime is paid at time and one half, all travelling before the start time and after the finish time is paid overtime.
Average 2 hours a day paid overtime (aprox 10 hours a week - £150 - £205 a week extra) travelling to/from site at time and a half.
Van, laptop, mobile phone supplied, some personal use of the van outside of work hours is allowed.
