I am currently working with a large housing development business based on the outskirts of Southampton, to recruit a Legal Assistant to assist with the legal aspect of Land Acquisition for the group.
The post holder is a key member of the team and will ensure that they align their job role with departmental strategies and changing business dynamics or goals of the Group. In addition, to develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to solicit feedback that delivers continuous improvement throughout the business.
Legal real estate experience

An all-round appreciation of general company and regulatory requirements and processesResponsibilities:
Manage legal correspondence with the Group's solicitor in respect of Land; acquisition, planning, sale and build contracts
Read and Analyse legal/planning correspondence in relation to sites and highlight any extra costs or issues which would affect the viability of the site
Work closely with Housing Associations and Social Housing providers to obtain Appraisals for Offers on proposed construction sites to meet Social Housing requirements of builds, assessing information received
Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external customers and external suppliers
Prepare and present legal handover file of relevant site information for both the Planning and Legal Departments including Title Deeds, Land Registry Documentation, Service Plans and other regulatory information
Assist in the supervision of the Land Administrators in obtaining Ordnance Survey records, Flood risk assessments, Tree Order Protection information and relevant planning information in order to complete site feasibility for presentation to Land Manager.Working hours are 9:00 - 5:00 with a 30 minute lunch break.
