Breast Cancer Haven Wessex is one of six Breast Cancer Havens who specialise in clinical support, fundraising, marketing & communications and administration. Working for them can be both challenging and extremely rewarding.
At Titchfield they offer advice on practical things like money and work, help combatting stress, exhaustion and nausea, advice on healthy eating and exercise. And above all, there is someone a patient can talk to about their deepest fears.
They have trained professional nurses, therapists, counsellors and advisers listen to the patient’s individual concerns and give them all the practical, emotional and physical support they need in a tailor-made package.
They offer a varied programme of weekly exercise classes, talks, workshops and courses.
The support they offer is free of charge and available in a centre– which is as far away from a hospital environment as you can imagine.
Reporting into the Fundraising Manager they require an Events Fundraising Officer. The role is permanent and based in Titchfield near Fareham. Some evening and weekend working is required.
The role is to intitiate, plan and execute a calendar of events, leading on established event dates in the diary and generating new ideas and events to reach a set target.
You will develop, embed and strengthen Breast Cancer Haven Wessex’s events activities managing all the financial processes, marketing and social media associated with events.

Key Features of the Role:
·You will be producing a varied event calendar that will target different audiences across a wide geographical area.
·Manage add develop events, market to potential participants ensuring target numbers are reached and ensure profit potential is maximised. These events will typically include The Annual Carol Service, Annual Quiz, the Sparkle Party and Blossom Fashion Show
·Managing all the financial processes, marketing and social media associated with events
·Recruit and manage volunteers for events
·Cultivate and build relationships with key volunteers and stakeholders
Knowledge and Skills Required:
The Centre is seeking an enthusiastic, creative and energetic individual with a passion for charity fundraising to join their busy and thriving Wessex fundraising team.
Ideally you will have staged events with income targets of circa £20,000 and achieved an annual event income of £150,000 +.
You will be personable and good at building relationships with supporters and suppliers.
Have an impeccable eye for detail, be an exceptional communicator and a self-starter with excellent time management
Be competent in all aspects of Microsoft Office and have a full UK Driver’s Licence and your own reliable transport.

What’s on Offer?
Salary will be discussed at interview but can be expected to be in a range of between £25,000 - £28,000 pa depending upon experience.
35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. There will be some evening and weekend working.
22 days holiday increasing by 1 day a year to a maximum of 27 plus additional 3 days between Christmas and New Year plus bank and public holidays.
Pension Scheme (after 3 months service)
