Domestic Services Manager

Serco provide critical support services for University Hospital Southampton which include Patient Catering, Cleaning and restaurant facilities.
We have a key vacancy on the senior management team for a Domestic Services Manager at the site on a full-time basis working 37.5 hours per week.
This role represents a significant opportunity for someone looking for a challenging and rewarding career in a growing part of Serco’s business whilst contributing to the future success at UHS. The successful post holder will be an integral member of our UHS management team and have a proven track record of leading cleaning services in a healthcare environment. They will be a proactive, forward thinking manager with good customer and staff relationship skills.
The Domestic Services Manager is responsible for the delivery of the cleaning and domestic service to ensure that the hospital is compliant with the latest national cleaning standards. Whilst delivering first rate cleaning services and identifying ongoing service improvements and innovation, you will also be responsible for the day to day line management and leadership of a team of approximately 350 staff, as well as managing the domestic services budget annually.
This role will report into the General Manager at UHS.

Key Skills and Experience:
The accumulation of the above will require several years’ experience at a middle management level to achieve and the successful applicant should be able to demonstrably evidence this in their CV.
